On 22 June 2016, Budapest came together to watch Hungary face Portugal in the UEFA Euro 2016. Thousands of supporters gathered around the giant screen at Erzsébet tér, next to Deák Ferenc tér, of the city. Hungary’s 3–3 draw with Portugal, including two goals from Balázs Dzsudzsák, sent the crowd into celebration.
